Susan Gardner, M.S. NC State 1991, uses her background in toxicology from NC State to understand how pollutants affect the sea turtles, fish and other marine creatures. As senior adviser and chief of staff at the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Northeast Fisheries Science Center in Woods Hole, Mass., where she lives with her family, including two children.
