The Eastern Analytical Symposium and Exposition (EAS) is held each year to provide professional scientists and students continuing education in the analytical and allied sciences through the presentation of symposia of papers, workshops, and short courses. EAS actively supports a Student Research Awards program to recognize students involved in research in the broad field of analytical chemistry.

This year, two students from the Muddiman group have been selected by EAS to receive student research awards based on their nomination criteria that include “excellent grades, appraisals of how the students handle their investigations, their approach and how they resolve problems and publicly disseminate their work.”

Oliva Dioli, an undergraduate researcher in the Muddiman group was the recipient of the 2022 Undergraduate Student Research Award, and Kevan Knizner, a 2nd-year graduate student in the Muddiman group was the recipient of the 2022 Graduate Student Research Award.

Both awards come with an all-expense paid trip to Princeton, NJ to present their research. The Student Awardees’ posters will be presented on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. Congratulations!
