Meet A2i Participant Sarah Doydora, Ph.D.

Dr. Doydora has been a Research Associate at NC State in Soil Science for two years and attended A2i Immersion Week in July of 2023.

How did A2i Impact you?

When asked about her experience she said, “Oh, I loved the A2i week! I met many wonderful people and learned a lot of course. If I could summarize the three main learnings I got, it’s the following: 1) Everybody has transferrable skills to be able to work with industry. 2) LinkedIn is a must if you want to apply to or be recruited by industry. 3) Never accept a job offer without negotiating even if they might say no to your request. Practicing the STAR technique was also very helpful. As a matter of fact, I used and practiced the STAR technique I learned from the A2i Immersion Week prior to my in-person interview last August and got offered the job I interviewed for with industry 3 weeks after that!”
