Nine Graduate Programs Selected as Inaugural Honorees for NC State’s Excellence in Assessment Awards
In collaboration with the Office of Accreditation and Assessment, the Graduate School is proud to announce the NC State Excellence in Assessment Awards’ inaugural honorees.
The award recognizes degree and certificate programs that meet NC State’s expectations for quality of assessment and incorporate multiple best practices in their assessment processes to improve student learning. The goal of the award is to promote creative and pro-active thinking about assessment, foster data-based decision-making for the continuous improvement of academic programs, and get more faculty (and administrators) actively involved in this process.
The following nine graduate programs were honored by the university’s inaugural Excellence in Assessment award:

- Creative Writing
- Geospatial Information Science and Technology
- History
- Public History
- Landscape Architecture
- Toxicology
