Program Summary

The U.S. Department of Education Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need (GAANN) Fellowship Program at North Carolina State University supports graduate students who are pursuing doctoral degrees in the areas of Cybersecurity for Electrical Power Systems, Molecular Biotechnology, Nanoscale Electronic and Energy Materials (NEEM), Nuclear Science and Engineering, and Scientific Computation. Since 1989, GAANN funds have supported more than 300 fellows at NC State.

Nuclear Science and Engineering – Not currently accepting nominations
