Overriding Max Hours

Graduate students are limited to enrolling in up to 15 hours per term. There are some exceptional circumstances where DGPs may determine a student should take an additional course. In these cases, DGPs can override the maximum hours for a specific term to up to 18 hours. Anything over 18 hours would need to be submitted to the Dean of the Graduate School for approval.

Navigate to Override Max Hours

MyPack Portal > Student Information System homepage > Advising tile or Student Records Tile > ‘Student Services Center’ menu item

  1. Log into MyPack Portal
  2. Select the ‘Student Information System’ homepage
  3. Select the ‘Advising’ tile or the ‘Student Records’ tile
  4. On the left hand navigation bar, select ‘Student Services Center’
  5. Enter the Student’s ID number or name and select ‘Search’
  6. Go to the ‘Dashboard’ tab
  7. Under the ‘Personal Information’ section select Override Max Units
